The NRL finals series is swiftly approaching, where teams go up another gear in the fight for the premiership trophy, separating the elite from the rest.
Many stars have established themselves in NRL folklore during some of the heroics made during a sudden-death final.
Here are the players who are set to feature in this year's finals race you'd want on your side during an elimination match to ensure victory.
5. Daly Cherry-Evans
The former Sea Eagles playmaker is the leading field-goal kicker (27) in the modern NRL era, and has gotten his side the two points time and time again from his boot when slotting a one-pointer.
What makes Cherry-Evans even more clutch is his ability to nail them with both feet, giving himself options when defenders rush him. The 375-game veteran can easily take a step off his right foot, readjust, and secure the field goal on his weak boot to ensure victory.

Not only in field goals, but with Cherry-Evans' elite composure in nailing 40/20s, he is a valuable asset even at 37 years old.
With Sam Walker not expected to take part in this year's finals run, Cherry-Evans will be tasked with engineering clutch wins against strong opponents.
