The Manly Sea Eagles sensational decision to axe Anthony Seibold just three rounds into a new season will give the club plenty of time to work out what comes next.
Seibold, in all seriousness probably should have been sacked at the end of 2025, but chairman Scott Penn and his board elected to carry on with the under seige head coach for another season.
In the end, it was proven quickly to be the wrong decision, with Manly losing three from three at home to start the new year.
On Friday, Seibold was terminated by Manly, and the club will now begin a process to appoint a new coach.
Reading between the lines of Saturday morning's press conference, the club is going to give interim coach Kieran Foran every chance to impress, but alongside the former star half, who else is in the mix?

7. John Morris
Morris is currently at the Wests Tigers, and has had a stint coaching at the Cronulla Sharks where he had 51 games in charge for 24 wins.
Ultimately, he was turfed out for the arrival of Craig Fitzgibbon in a strange set of circumstances given how the black, white and blue were going that year.
Morris has had plenty of praise throughout his coaching career for his work both as a head coach and an assistant coach, and the Tigers appear to be in great shape at the start of 2026.
He also worked well at South Sydney before falling out with Jason Demetriou who was head coach at the time.
Morris, who was a utility as a player and had 300 first-grade games, never played for Manly, but would bring a fresh perspective to the club and certainly deserves a second go as head coach.
