Former Melbourne Storm five-eighth Shaun Nona has signed with the St George Illawarra Dragons for 2016.

Nona was released by the Melbourne Storm to take up a deal with QLD Cup side the Mackay Cutters in December. The Cutters announced this morning that they too had release the promising play maker to enable him another shot at an NRL deal.

The Absolute Enterprises Mackay Cutters would this morning like to announce that Shaun Nona has been granted a release from the Club to join the St George Illawarra Dragons for Telstra Premiership Season 2016.

The Cutters announced Shaun’s signing in December of 2015 following his release from the Melbourne Storm and while excited at the prospect of a player of Shaun’s calibre joining the Club at Stadium Mackay the Club congratulates Shaun on his NRL deal with the St George Illawarra Dragons.

The Mackay Cutters wishes Shaun all the best for Season 2016 and looks forward to a successful year ahead in the Intrust Super Cup.
