St George will be without Origin front rower Paul Vaughan for the remainder of the season, after he suffered a foot injury at training on Tuesday.

Vaughan recently suffered a syndesmosis injury, although this foot issue is on the opposite leg, meaning they weren't related.

Vaughan spoke to dragons.com.au about the season-ending injury, and is already looking forward to the 2019 season.

"I'm devastated that my season has come to an end so suddenly today," Vaughan told the club's website.

"However, I'll continue to support the boys for the rest of the year, and I look forward to coming back bigger and better in 2019."
