Titans forward Jai Arrow has revealed that the pull of career opportunities for his partner in Sydney could entice him to join a club from the Harbour City.

Arrow's girlfriend is Taylah Cannon, a Miss World Australia contestant working for Vivien's Models, with the agency reportedly encouraging her to make the move south.

"Sydney is an amazing modelling market and it’s where international models will base themselves in Australia ... Sydney would be great for Taylah,'' Vivien's Queensland manager Georgia Barclay told The Sydney Morning Herald.

Arrow can begin negotiating with rival clubs from the end of the month, and has admitted that Cannon's career will play a big part in his decision.

"I've definitely spoken to Taylah about it and she's open to it and knows there are better opportunities for her down in Sydney,'' Arrow said.

"I have to take that into consideration. We're partners and we consider ourselves a team. We'll do what's best for us. I'll sit down with her and talk about it.

"She's a stunning girl, there would be a lot of modelling jobs for her. She was actually in India doing charity work and taking orphan kids out to breakfast. She's also an animal lover and had two stray dogs that kept jumping the fence and barking at the door because she kept feeding them. I'm proud of what she was doing over there.''

The Titans have reportedly tabled Arrow a four-year deal worth approximately $3 million, while giving him permission to talk to other clubs early so the situation does not become a distraction next season.

While admitting that his preference remains to re-sign, the 24-year old said he will do what's best for him and his partner.

"There's been no pressure to sign, and [Titans head of performance] Mal [Meninga] hasn't put any pressure on me,'' Arrow said.

"He wants me to do the right thing. I've come out and said my preference is to stay here. I also understand I have to do what's best for myself and my partner. I honestly think with the squad we have on paper is a strong team, but it just hasn't been working for us.

"I've spoken to Justin and he said he'll have coffee with me when he gets over here and wants to know what I like about the club and what things he think I can change. I'm sure he'll ask a few of the other players as well what he thinks.''

  1. Roosters have the best forwards in the World two years running. Back to Back Premierships are proof of that fact. Arrow is overrated and is of no interest to the dual Premiers.

He would not even make the Roosters 17. With Faamausilli and Collins big tough props ready to explode into the NRL next season, along with Tupounua to continue his brilliant progress to continue. Arrow would be best suited to the hopeless pack of South Sydney, they have plenty of vacancies for overrated players with some of their weak forwards leaving in has beens Sutton & Burgess leaving.

Lets look at facts. Souths best forward last year Angus Crichton could only get a bench place in the Sydney Roosters great pack. So Arrow has got absolutely no hope at Sydney. Nick Politis knows it. Crowe is renowned to buying players that under perform and are over priced. Arrow falls into this category perfectly for Crowe.

The bottom line is Sydney Roosters have the depth already for 2020. Roosters recruiting is done and dusted with Flanagan the only new addition for the Nrl Squad that was required.

  2. Mark.mywords you obviously don’t watch too many games of footy. Arrow is a weapon! Not saying the chooks need or want him but to say he’s overrated and would have no hope of getting in their team is stupid in my opinion.

  3. Greggos you obviously are a Titans fan and love him at the Gold Coast. Roosters have no vacancies for Wooden Spoon drongos,

Look I love my footy but when the Gold Coast play, they are not worth my spending electricity on them for 80 mins and throwing rotten bananas at my TV screen. They are a waste of 80 mins of an individuals life.

Arrow might look like a million dollars to you but I could play and look like a million dollar player to with all the no hopers as team mates, making him look better than what he is because he runs 50m more a game or can catch and pass, unlike those other Titans.

  4. Mark.mywords. I’m not a Titans fan at all but I know a good player when I see one. Fair enough you don’t watch the Titans but can I assume that you watch State of Origin. He’s played 4 Origins and I didn’t see him looking out of place there mate and he wasn’t surrounded by sub par players. Anyway i don’t think he’s overrated, you do, No one even talks about him.!
