Newcastle Knights
Kalyn Ponga has been crowned the 2018 Player of the Year for the Newcastle Knights, winning the Danny Buderus medal.
Coach Nathan Brown praised the young fullback turned five-eighth for handling the pressure of weekly NRL footballer and for trusting his instincts.
The Knights Player of the Year Nominees were all new recruits to the club this season, including Aidan Guerra, Mitchell Pearce and Slade Griffin
