The Dragons will be sweating on the fitness of Tim Lafai, James Graham and Tyson Frizell after each suffered injury concerns in Sunday's 13-point loss to the Sharks.

28-year-old centre Lafai and 33-year-old prop Graham are believed to have sustained syndesmosis injuries in the loss.

Dragons head of athletic performance Nathan Pickworth said the pair will need further medical evaluation.

"Tim (Lafai) has suffered a suspected moderate grade syndesmosis injury and will have follow up scans [on Monday]," Pickworth told the club's website.

"James (Graham) suffered a similar injury to Tim and has a suspected syndesmosis injury with the possibility of a fibula fracture; he will have follow up scans to determine the severity of the injury and to hopefully exclude the fibula fracture."

Meanwhile, 27-year-old second-row player Frizell will be evaluated for concussion after copping a heavy knock against the Sharks. The New South Wales State of Origin squad member will be evaluated by the Blues' medical team ahead of game one in nine days' time.

The Dragons have the bye this week, before returning to action against the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium in round 13.

  1. Maybe it would be a good idea to move Jai Field to fullback, put Zac Lomax in to cover Tim Lafai’s center position because Corey Norman should be back for the Dragons next match against Canterbury. If Corey Norman plays five-eighth it would give the Dragons a bit more variation with their attack. Something has to be done to avoid a sixth loss in a row. We don’t want that clueless coach McGregor getting too excited again about the way we played against Cronulla. Obviously McGregor needs medical help. Better still sack the coach immediately on the grounds of insanity !!

  2. The only way Saints can get back on track is hiring a bus and driving the entire team over a cliff around Buli, then rebuild from that from scratch. Just make sure the coach is in the front seat ⛰🌄🏔🚌💥✝

  3. Oh I almost forgot sit Daffy 🦆🦆🦆🦆 and Redv13 💩👃👅👅 near the coach🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍
