Latrell Mitchell's finals debut came in Week 1 of the 2017 playoffs against the Brisbane Broncos.
With the Roosters trailing after a late try from Corey Oates in the 70th minute, the Sydney-siders were looking for a big moment to save their season. Mitchell bulldozed through the line on the edge, combining footwork and powerful fends to find himself under the posts, scoring the match-winning try and taking the Roosters into finals week 2.
Although the Roosters were knocked out the following week, Mitchell's match-winning effort highlighted his fearless approach in crucial moments and confirmed that he had the talent and temperament to deliver when it mattered most.
