After a drama-filled weekend of representative action, the NRL is back this weekend with a host of big names due to miss out.

Canterbury Bulldogs v North Queensland Cowboys

Following Josh Reynolds hamstring injury, Matt Frawley will join Moses Mbye in the halves as Des Hasler's choice not to release rep players seemed to have paid off.

For the Cowboys, JT's shoulder will keep him out of the side however they should welcome back Lachlan Coote from a calf strain while hooker Jake Granville could also be named. Kalyn Ponga looks set to keep the number one jersey, however.

St George Illawarra Dragons v Cronulla Sharks

First, Gareth Widdop went down, now Josh Dugan will join him on the sidelines after he fractured his cheekbone in the Kangaroos' win last weekend.

Cronulla's Luke Lewis returns from a hamstring issue after enjoying the week off.

Wests Tigers v South Sydney Rabbitohs

Aaron Woods' groin injury will keep him out indefinitely with Tim Grant set to replace him as he returns from a shoulder injury.

Jamal Idris remains a good chance to return from a hamstring injury, however, David Nofoaluma's knee puts him in serious doubt for the Friday night matchup.

The Rabbitohs look to go in unchanged despite copping a thumping at the hands of the Sea Eagles

Penrith Panthers v New Zealand Warriors

The Panthers will welcome back James Fisher-Harris from a shoulder injury as the Warriors are likely to name veteran Manu Vatuvei on the wing as he returns from injury.

Melbourne Storm v Gold Coast Titans

Well, isn't it appropriate that these two sides clash this weekend?

Jesse Bromwich and Kevin Proctor will miss the match for playing their part in the Kiwis drug scandal last weekend with both clubs taking action against their stars.

Felise Kaufusi is free to play for the Storm despite being charged with dangerous contact by the MRC with Tohu Harris set to return to the lineup after missing an extended period through injury.

Tim Glasby looks set to take Bromwich's place in the starting side.

Manly Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos

The Sea Eagles are riding high after their strong overall performance against the Rabbitohs a fortnight ago and will head to Suncorp Stadium with an unchanged lineup.

David Mead will replace the injured James Roberts in the Broncos starting side after the speedy centre injured his ankle a few weeks ago.

Newcastle Knights v Canberra Raiders

Pauli Pauli could be in line for a call-up to an otherwise settled lineup for the Knights.

The Raiders stood down Josh Papalii following his run in with the law with Dave Taylor and Shannon Boyd also out with leg injuries. Scott Sorenson is one man in line to come into the side, albeit off the bench.

Sydney Roosters v Parramatta Eels

Shaun Kenny-Dowell is the latest big name to be disciplined for off-field misdemeanours with Latrell Mitchell in line for a recall after being dropped due to poor form. Isaac Liu also misses out with a foot injury for the tricolours.

Bevan French could finally return for the Eels after recovering from a PCL injury although the Eels won't risk him unless he is 100%, as Jeff Robson remains sidelined with a calf complaint.
