November 1 has come and gone, and over 170 players are now free agents, available to sign on with rival clubs for 2027 and beyond.

As negotiations get underway, Zero Tackle will be previewing it all by running the rule over potential destinations for a host of the top-rated off-contract players.

Today, former Broncos, now Dolphins, outside back Selwyn Cobbo.

An Origin-experienced player who can slot in at fullback, wing or centre, Cobbo would add plenty to any side if he can get back to his best, and likely wouldn't break the bank.

Will he be interested in leaving Queensland, and can he get back to that level?

They are the questions a lot of clubs must be asking, but the ones who should be making a play seem obvious.

Here is the list of potential landing spots for the Queenslander.

5. Canterbury Bulldogs

As it stands, the Bulldogs have a handful of backs signed for 2027, but not enough to complete the roster.

The expectation is that they may re-sign Marcelo Montoya and even Connor Tracey, which potentially makes any play for Cobbo a mute point, but what if they look to go in another direction.

According to most reports, the jury at Belmore is still out on Connor Tracey as the long-term fullback. Stephen Crichton could yet move there, or, if off-season recruit Kade Dykes work, he could wind up slotting into the role on a permanent basis.

But Cobbo has the ability to play fullback, wing and centre, and the Bulldogs could effectively be getting a (previously, at least), Origin-level player for well under market value.

Phil Gould loves a baragin, and as much as the club's salary cap isn't in a great way, this could represent an enticing prospect for the blue and white.
