With November 1 now less than two months away, NRL clubs will be scrambling to get their best players locked away before they hit the open market and fetch interest from elsewhere.
On this week's episode of the NRL Contract Show, Zero Tackle editor Scott Pryde listed seven key retention targets across the competition who could be in demand if they remain unsigned by November 1.
Jack Williams
Pryde: "You look at [Parramatta's] forward pack, and to me Jack Williams has been the standout. He can play in the middle and on the edge, and I actually think he might be a future captain of the club. There's talk that other clubs will certainly be interested in him if he gets to November 1. The Eels need to sort that out in a hurry."
