A number of Brisbane players were spotted playing the pokies at a pub on Saturday night - less than 24 hours before their 58-0 loss to the Eels in the elimination final.
According to Fox Sports, witnesses confirmed at least Matt Gillett, Andrew McCullough, Payne Haas, David Fifita, Corey Oates and Anthony Milford were seen at Harpoon Harry's near Oxford Street.
The Courier-Mail believes Gehamat Shibasaki and Joe Ofahengaue were also in attendance.
It is understood Fifita was the last player on the machines, after his teammates left at around 11pm.
According to one onlooker who spoke to Fox Sports about the incident, he asked Milford what time the Eels game was, with the half unable to tell him the correct kick-off time.
“I knew the game started at 4pm but Milford turned to me and said: ‘I think it’s at six, eh’. He wasn’t taking the piss, he was dead set,” the source told Fox Sports.
The Broncos were sluggish from the start against Parramatta, giving up three tries in the first 20 minutes and going into half-time down 24-0.
Brisbane are reportedly aware of the incident, and have launched an investigation.
