Warrington Wolves fullback Kurt Gidley will take to the field in their next match against Leigh fitted out with a modified camera that he will wear throughout the game.
This will enable fans to see and hear exactly what Gidley goes through in the game. Every big hit, every bone-jarring tackle and every linebreak will be recorded.
The specially designed kit is still subject to a final health and safety check but former player and Sky Sports pundit Barrie McDermott can't wait to see it in action.
"This is very exciting and innovative as well," said McDermott on Sky Sports News HQ.
"We like to get you close to the action at Sky Sports and Tony Smith and Karl Fitzpatrick the chief executive at Warrington have been instrumental in making this happen.
"Kurt Gidley is a player who gets involved - he is right in the heart of the action and we will be able to see every hit, every bump, every bash and feel it as well.
"Well done to the Warrington club who are going through it a little bit at the moment so for them to be up for this is a real show of class from them."
