Newcastle have added another layer of talent to their outside backs, with Edrick Lee set to join the Knights on a three-year deal beginning next season.

Lee has played 83 games across seven seasons for Canberra and Cronulla, and has seven tries from 11 appearances for the Sharks so far in 2018.

The 25-year-old can play anywhere across the backline, and Newcastle’s General Manager of Football Darren Mooney was thrilled to bring the talented Lee on board.

“Edrick is an exciting player with size, height and speed. He will be a great addition, not only to our backline but to our playing group,” Mooney told

  1. once again trying to buy a premiership with 2 sharks ramien and lee but that wont be enough , should just chase better forwards its not the backs they need

    • This one is for depth, if he pans out then it will be a bonus.

Only this time it looks like the front office have made good decisions on the players we’re buying. My mob has had the wooden spoon 2 years in a row, why the hell would we not buy better players?

  2. JJ Felise and we did try for Woods (not that I wanted him). Glasby coming next year, there was whispers going around that we were trying to get Napa. Don’t know if there is any truth to that, but I was hoping we would ask Parra if Evans is available.

    • Even if we don’t get any other forwards I’ll be happy to just give Sam Stone and Pasami Saulo a go.
