Titans star hooker Nathan Peats has suffered a torn pectoral muscle at training and could miss up to three months, according to a report by the Courier Mail.
The 28-year old suffered the injury at training on Thursday and will have scans soon to determine the severity of it.
It is understood that the pec is not fully torn, giving Peats the opportunity to return to the field this season.
It is a major blow to the Titas spine, following injuries to fellow stars Ash Taylor (quad) and Tyrone Roberts (achilles).
Gold Coast coach Garth Brennan is expected to confirm the news later today at his press conference.
The Titans meet South Sydney at ANZ Stadium this Sunday.
