The Gold Coast Titans are hoping the lure of playing alongside superstar and friend Jarryd Hayne will help them re-sign Nathan Peats.
The Titans yesterday announced that Hayne had accepted his $1.2 million option for 2018 which gives the club clarity in regards to their salary cap position for next season.
Now with Hayne confirmed, the club can look to re-sign their over off contract talent starting with Nathan Peats.
There had been early reports that the Parramatta Eels were keen to re-sign Peats but they have since withdrawn their offer, paving the way for the Titans to secure their star hooker.
The Gold Coast had been hoping Peats would accept their current offer of $500,000 per year but with his Origin debut for the NSW Blues a massive success, Peats now looks set to command a bigger piece of the pie.
