The North Queensland Cowboysย lost to the Wests Tigers on Saturday night but the bigger concern will be the loss of Johnathan Thurstonย who was carried from the field with a serious leg injury.
Thurston wasย forced from the field late in the game with what appeared to be a serious calf injury.

The injury seemed to happen during a tackle and Thurston, in obvious pain, immediately signalled to the bench that he was in trouble.
Trainers were forced to carry the injured Thurston from the field and into the dressing rooms. who was
He will now no doubt go for scans to assess the extent of the injury but it's expected he'll be sidelined for a number of weeks.

Thurston's injury is the latest blow to the Cowboys with key players Jake Granville, Matt Scott and Lachlan Coote all currently sidelined.
