The Gold Coast Titans can confirm that Bryce Cartwright has today agreed to terms with the club for four years, through until the end of season 2021.

The 23-year-old will join the club this week ahead of the 2018 season.

Head Coach Garth Brennan is pleased to have the opportunity to work with Cartwright.

“I’ve known Bryce since he was 17 and I’m so pleased that we can work together again,” Brennan said.

“I’ve seen him develop over the past seven years and I believe he is one of the most skillful players I’ve seen on a football field.

“He is a massive signing for the club and look forward to seeing him in Titans colours.”

  1. I imagine that means Ryan James will stay in the front row…

    Maybe something like:
    1. Michael Gordon
    2. Anthony Don
    3. Brenko Lee/Dale Copley
    4. Konrad Hurrell
    5. Dale Copley/Brenko Lee
    6. Kane Elgey
    7. Ashley Taylor
    8. Jarrod Wallace
    9. Nathan Peats
    10. Ryan James
    11. Kevin Proctor
    12. Bryce Cartwright
    13. Jai Arrow

    14. Mitch Rein
    15. Leilani Latu
    16. Keegan Hipgrave
    17. Morgan Boyle

Things are slowly building for the titans.

  2. Dont look too bad at all.
As an incoming coach u would have ro be relatively happy with that roster

  3. I’ve read many articles that if Elgey fails to fire in the early rounds, BC will move to 6 but I honestly don’t think that would be the best move for the titans. I’d throw in talented youngster Brimson who would do wonders alongside Taylor. Titans are looking good tho, keen to see Brimson and Fotuaika sometime throughout the season. Also youngster Darius Farmer looks the goods, reminds me of SBW. Just needs to fill out his big frame.

  4. Thought the Roosters had him signed, ah well looks like the big front row signing for the Chooks is still on. Stay tuned for a big signing

      • Nathan has said repeatedly that he will not be making his decision for a while. Lets see what happens.

      • Fat kid from Hey Dad, I here Nathan Cleary is a certainty for the Roosters when Cooper Cronk retires and if Robbo does not get his second premiership in the next two years Ivan Cleary his dad will be head coach.

  5. I think this is a dumb move by the Titans. Any player with “off field challenges” will not be redeemed on the Gold Coast. Trying to escape Sydney is not the answer for this young player. Cartwright is a very strong and respected name out Penrith way – something tells me there is a bit more to this story.

  6. He needed to get out of Sydney for his own safety and families. They receive daily death threats and get there front yard torched. Best move for him and wish him all the best.

    • Certainly wouldn’t allow anyone with these troubles to go to wild west of the GC, couldn’t think of a worse place for someone trying to get away from that stuff.
