Preview

Melbourne’s Origin quartet returns to the starting line-up on Friday night, with Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Will Chambers all fit to play after having the week off.

Kenny Bromwich, Brandon Smith and Jahrome Hughes make way for the stars, with Origin 2 debutant Tim Glasby reinstated to the starting 13.

Korbin Sims returns to prop for the Broncos, with Herman Ese’ese moving to the bench and Joe Ofahengaue back on the reserves.

Brisbane is the most in-form team in the competition having won eight of their past 10 games, and this one is certain to be a classic.

  1. While both teams made a similar number of errors, missed tackles and penalties, the speed and directness of the Storm’s attack was just too good for the Broncos whose attack lack those exact elements. Sims, Blair and Thaiday were again poor in terms of their go forward, though Gillet, Glenn, Pengai Jnr, Ofahengaue had good games.
