The Origin injury toll has risen again with NSW Blues captain Boyd Cordner not making the trip to Adelaide for the Roosters Round 16 match against the Melbourne Storm.
The Roosters have elected for Cordner to not make the trip with the team to enable him to receive treatment on a calf complaint he sustained in Wednesday night's State of Origin match.
It's currently unclear how bad the injury is but early reports suggest Cordner could be sidelined for a number of weeks, which could mean he will miss the deciding State of Origin game at Suncorp Stadium in three weeks.
Boyd Cordner ruled out this weekend. Awaiting scan results on calf strain, but if as expected grade 1-2:
Grade 1: 1-3wks
Grade 2: 3-6wks— NRL PHYSIO (@nrlphysio) June 22, 2017
Cordner's replacement in the Roosters side to take on the Storm at Adelaide Oval will be confirmed one hour prior to kick off.
