Baptiste sidelined with achilles injury

Canberra Raiders utility Kurt Baptiste has undergone surgery today on an Achilles injury sustained at training on Wednesday afternoon.

Baptiste ruptured his left Achilles during a conditioning session at Raiders HQ, with Baptiste to be assessed post-surgery to get a better understanding on how long he will be on the sideline.

The 25-year-old recently re-signed with the club for a further two seasons and was part of the Raiders 17 who made their way to the Preliminary final in 2016.
