A host of players spent 2025 on the sidelines, but have returned in fine form this year.

Injuries are part of rugby league, that much is for certain, and the way players come back from those injuries can be career defining.

Two of the group even played Origin this year in a true mark of their efforts recovering.

2025 was an injury-riddled campaign for the Rabbitohs which saw them miss the top-eight for the third consecutive season with injuries to other key players including Latrell Mitchell, Cody Walker, Campbell Graham and Keaon Koloamatangi.

Since returning, Murray has been impressive both at club and representative level as he played a starring role for the NSW Blues where he was arguably their most influential player.

Despite coming off the interchange, Murray was able to impact the game with his dynamic ball-playing ability which sparked the Blues attack to life.

With the Rabbitohs still awaiting multiple players to return from injury, they find themselves locked in for a position in the top-eight, breaking that three year drought.
