Dragons forward Leeson Ah Mau will head back home for the 2019 season, leaving St George Illawarra to take up a three-year deal with the Warriors.

Ah Mau will sign a deal worth around $500,000 per season, according to the Herald.

The 28-year-old played the first two games of his NRL career at the Warriors, before moving to North Queensland for the next two seasons.

Ah Mau would play 33 games for the Cowboys in 2010-2011, before heading to the Dragons in time for the 2012 season.

The New Zealand-born front-rower has spent the last seven years in at the Dragons, playing 130 games to date.

It is believed Ah Mau spoke to the club and his teammates during the week, to inform them of his decision to head home.
