Top 10 players still off contract next season

Despite many recent signings, a number of NRL players are still without a club for the 2018 season. These players could all add value to a club in 2018 if given the opportunity to do so. Hutchinson has been starved of an NRL opportunity but has the talent to succeed if a club gives him a chance. (Photo by Mark Nolan/Getty Images)[/caption] Frank Pritchard has confirmed that he wants to continue playing in 2018 and is now waiting on the Eels to make a decision. Pritchard is an NRL veteran that will add quality to the Eels forward back if he is re-signed for 2018. Unfortunately, he has been unable to represent the Broncos on many occasions but Waddell is certainly good enough to be signed to an NRL club. Myles has played in many representative level games and his experience and leadership would be invaluable for with a younger forward pack. After some stellar performances this year, Roberts will likely be signed soon, and his ability to play in many positions will not hurt his chances. The number of excellent wingers in the competition means that Faifai Loa is no longer a starting player, but he would certainly be a useful signing for clubs lacking depth. Stanley could easily make the best 17 at many clubs, and for a fraction of the price of similarly skilled players. (Photo by Matt King/Getty Images)[/caption] Sam Tagataese was part of the 2016 Cronulla Sharks team that won the grand final and has over 150 NRL games to date. The experienced forward continually provides an impact off the bench and would be an asset to a number of clubs. (Photo by Bradley Kanaris/Getty Images)[/caption] Darius Boyd is yet to re-sign with the Broncos, though it is expected that he will agree to a four-year deal. The Broncos captain will be pivotal for Brisbane in 2018 and beyond, though Boyd has admitted he is unsure how long he wishes to play for. The 2017 premiership winner will be huge for any club that can manage to land him and no doubt there are a number of clubs still trying to recruit Cronk for 2018.
