For supporters of some teams, scouring the ladder and consulting the fixture list can be a depressing task.
Underperforming veterans on large contracts, coaches in the firing line and heavy defeats will leave fans of any denomination blue.
If you fid yourself following a side with the aforementioned downfalls - fear not, we're here to help shift your eyes to the future.
Our list is comprised of both players that are proven starlets and some that are beacons for the future. The criteria for the list that each player must be 23 or younger.
Numerous names fit our measures but have not been mentioned, as this is a judgement on a team's stable of youth.
Here are the eight NRL teams with the best young talent.
4. Newcastle Knights
Nobody even remotely familiar with the concept of Ruby League needs an introduction to this pair. Novacastrians will be hoping that they can somehow convince both Kalyn Ponga and Bradman Best to sign deals that keep them in the Hunter for life.
Kalyn Ponga is a flat-out missile from full back and has been voted in the top three for the position by his peers the last three years. Expected to earn upwards of a million dollars a year for the next four seasons, Knights fans would be happy to see that doubled should Ponga's star continue to rise.

Weighing in at 103 kilograms and only 19-years-old, Bradman Best is a beast. Already seen by those in the know as a top five centre with 7 tries in 9 appearances, the man with the best name in the league is living up to the expectations.

Sharks also have Sione Katoa and Ronaldo Multitalo who are both excellent young wingers. Not to mention Hamlin Uele and Rudolf in the forwards.
Or how about Starford Toa the Knights up and coming winger, Jayden Brailey who is currently injured and Tex Hoy.
Think this article is stupid. You’ve listed 3 players for each team and listed 8 teams and said this is the best young talent.
The criteria for this list is that each player must be 23 or younger.
Katoa, Hamlin-Uele, Rudolf and Brailey are all older.
However, Mulitalo and Hoy are oversights.
Thanks for your feedback.
You forgot Brian To’o for the Panthers.
Leading ground maker after first contract with the defence. Until his injury. He’s 22.
Sorry.. First contact with the defence!
you’ve mentioned about 1/3 of the Bronco’s young guns, eg, Thomas Dearden, Herbie Farnworth, Cory Paix, Keenan Palasia, Izaia Perese, Jake Turpin etc. problem is the clubs who buy their talent coming in and grabbing the cream because they can’t be bothered to develop their own.
