With the NRL season coming to a close, those who started a new chapter in their rugby league career have been given ample time to prove their worth to their new teammates, clubs and fans.
Naturally, some have disappointed, with veterans failing to live up to their reputations, or young talent thrown in the deep end too quickly.
However, some have been just as good on the pitch as they originally seemed on paper.
Whether it be bargain buys, diamonds in the rough or blockbuster signings, these are the players who have not only met expectations but exceeded them, transforming their teams in both subtle and spectacular ways.
So, in no particular order, here are the eight best signings of the 2025 NRL season.
1Terrell May
As stated, this list is in no particular order; however, it only felt right to begin with arguably the best signing of the 2025 NRL season.
Terrell May was already making headlines when the shocking news came that he was released from his Sydney Roosters contract in late 2024, just months after signing an extension.
Now, he's one of the competition's most in-form front-rowers and is almost guaranteed to win Dally M Prop of the Year.
An absolute workhorse on and off the ball, May's stats speak for themselves, ending the season third in the league for run metres, second for total runs, second for total tackles and first for decoy runs.
Not to mention, averaging 166 metres per game, almost three offloads a game and just over 55 post-contact metres per game.
We could be here all day.
The bottom line is, any coach would want May in their lineup, unless their name is Laurie Daley.
