6. Moment 6: Signing with the South Sydney Rabbitohs
In January 2020, Latrell Mitchell made a headline-grabbing switch, being released by the Sydney Roosters after taking a leave of absence earlier in the pre-season. Almost immediately, he signed with the South Sydney Rabbitohs on a one-year deal, with an option for the club to extend for a further season.
Mitchell made his debut for the Rabbitohs in Round One of 2020, stepping into a new role at fullback. The positional change was a factor in his move, giving him a fresh challenge and the chance to influence games from a different perspective.
