More than four months removed from November 1, there are still 136 NRL currently Top 30 contracted NRL players without a club to call home for 2027.

The Perth Bears still have more than half of their inaugural Top 30 to fill, and most clubs are in need of players, whether re-signed or otherwise, to complete their look and feel for 2027.

When you run the rule over the list of players who remain off-contract at the end of 2026, there is still a mountain of talent available.

Taking into account the likely value to a rival club - age, talent and potential included (for example, Cody Walker has been left out as he approaches the end of his career) - here are the Top 20 players to remain without a contract for 2027.

Siua Wong was originally named in this list, however, it has since emerged he has re-signed with the Roosters during the off-season.

15. Kurt Mann (Canterbury Bulldogs)

Mann heads into 2026 looking to replicate the form produced in 2025 which turned him into a surprise State of Origin player.

There is no doubt the time left for Mann - who has played 218 NRL games across four clubs since his 2014 debut with the Melbourne Storm - is less than what he has played, but he could well have a good year or two left.

The chance of him departing Belmore probably does seem a little bit slim, but his reformation in recent times into a lock forward who can ball play and look after business in defence will have a handful of clubs sitting up and wondering whether they should be making a short-term play.

Certainly, the Parramatta Eels look better with Dylan Walker on the field than off it. That's not to say he and Mann are the same player, but they have enough similarities, and similar experience, that could make the equation one which isn't all that far apart.
