Michael Morgan is set to spend an extended period of time away from rugby league after being left dazed following a second concussion in two weeks.
Morgan was left shaking after being on the end of an elbow from Maroons and North Queensland teammate Josh McGuire in the second half of Wednesday night's Origin decider.
The head knock follows a hit from Tariq Sims just 13 days ago, an incident which saw Sims receive a one-week ban and miss the Blues' Origin III victory.
Morgan remained in Sydney following the conclusion of the Origin series, and will not be with North Queensland medical staff until Friday, meaning the Cowboys playmaker will miss Sunday's clash against the Roosters in Gosford.
