Parra open Bankwest Stadium in blitzing style

After two and a half years away from their spiritual home, the Parramatta Eels made an enormous statement in their first game back in Parramatta, at their new home of Bankwest Stadium. A crowd of just over 29,000 were in attendance with the majority wearing blue and gold and the players turned in a memorable performance. Mitchell Moses and Clinton Gutherson, at the centre of contract discussions mid-week, put on an absolute clinic, with Moses picking up a personal haul of 19 points as he became the first player to score a try, kick a goal and a field goal at the new stadium. The Eels ran out 51-6 winners as they climbed up to fifth place with their fourth win of the season.

  1. Wow i just watched anthony siebold on the fox interview and he has aged 10 years and his eyes were as big as dinner plates. boy oh boy he looks mighty stressed out he looks ready for the looney bin ala the rubber room…

  2. 1. Parra Stadium looks brilliant, and they look like having a big year.
    2. An excellent Grand Final rematch confirms these two teams are the current Cowboys vs Brisbane game as the last three games excluding the Grand Final have been decided by a point.
    3. Manly has had plenty of luck over the years including the 7 tackle try that helped them go onto win the 1978 Grand Final. The tide has finally turned after all these decades.🤣😂🤣😂🤣
    4. Knights won’t be this years wooden Spooners, But Brown may get the sack if something does not happen soon.
    5. Cronulla has confirmed that Penrith is in need of the open market purchase of players, because all their so called local juniors are like soufffffths. Totally Useless. 💪🐔👍

    • Well if we’re going back as far as that, I want to complain about 1995 when bulldogs scored off a 7th tackle against manly and then the winning try off a ball that was 9-12 metres forward, also had 6 tackles twice more during game

      • Why did you have to bring that nightmare up again? That Eddie Ward was the biggest cheat. What a disgusting refereeing display. There were at least 3 forward pass tries to the dogs in that GF as well as a 7 tackle. Worse than shayne hayne in 2013 handing the rorters our trophy with dozens of dodgy decisions against manly. All because toovey wanted someone at the NRL to investigate and hold the cheat accountable.

      • I sat in a pub at quombone out in the west in a pub owned by myself ( bob Fulton)
Place is full of memorabilia and stuff. Must of been 40 odd people there all die hard manly except 2 dogs supporters.
They dead set snuck out under tables after the game even they were embarrassed by the refereeing.
That game was 100% fixed and people obviously made a lot of cash with the result

  3. Good to see the refs admitted they ripped manly off yet again. Good to see that blind touchie dropped back down to the RSPCA to join his guide dogs. BUT what about the Neville referee and his incompetant video buddies upstairs who only interfere in decisions when they are not supposed to get involved. Why didn’t they get the sack too? Imposters in ref clothing.
