The Manly Sea Eagles sensational decision to axe Anthony Seibold just three rounds into a new season will give the club plenty of time to work out what comes next.
Seibold, in all seriousness probably should have been sacked at the end of 2025, but chairman Scott Penn and his board elected to carry on with the under seige head coach for another season.
In the end, it was proven quickly to be the wrong decision, with Manly losing three from three at home to start the new year.
On Friday, Seibold was terminated by Manly, and the club will now begin a process to appoint a new coach.
Reading between the lines of Saturday morning's press conference, the club is going to give interim coach Kieran Foran every chance to impress, but alongside the former star half, who else is in the mix?
Here are the eight options that should be under consideration by the Sea Eagles board and powerbrokers.

3. Kieran Foran
The Sea Eagles will have the rest of this season to work out whether Foran becoming a full-time coach at the age of 35 and just months after his career reached its conclusion is something they are keen on.
Foran, even in an interim capacity, will become one of the NRL's youngest ever head coaches, and certainly is about to have the sharpest turnaround time between last game played and first game coached.
That is not neccessarily a bad thing, but it is a major risk.
If it works - and it might, because Foran is a very smart player who had a mountain of experience - then it'll go down as a masterstroke which changes the way ex-players are viewed when it comes to the coaching sphere.
But there is also the risk that it won't work.
This is a tricky situation for Foran. He has to keep the team up for six months in what could be a very difficult season, having already lost three straight home games.
