Wests Tigers backrower Ryan Matterson has been added to the Blues' squad as the 18th man ahead of the State of Origin opener on June 5.
Matterson hasn't played for NSW before, but will join the camp on Tuesday and provide injury relief for Brad Fittler should he need it.
The 24-year-old has played 11 games for the Tigers in his debut season with the club, following 60 games with the Roosters between 2016-18.

Good player! Congratulations Ryan !
Great stuff Ryan Matterson, Hopefully one day the Roosters can have your services again. Thanks for helping the Roosters to a premiership and with a bit of bad luck for some other player it just might be good luck for you to crack that Blues jumper.
Watch this comedy link of Ryan after last season Grand Final…….💪🐔👍
