Rugby league fans, it has arrived. NRL silly season!
November 1. The day where players all across the country (and New Zealand) become "free agents" so to speak.
Although we're yet to click over into 2026, players contracted until the end of the 2026 season are now fair game.
The introduction of the Perth Bears makes this the most exciting November 1 since since the Dolphins version.
Today we're discussing ten players we believe will be both in demand and have the potential to shift clubs for 2027 and beyond.
This isn't just a list of the ten biggest names off contract.
For example James Tedesco is off contract but I just never see him leaving Roosters for another NRL club.
Here are the top ten realistic targets come November first:
Honourable Mention: Lindsay Smith and Jaxon Perdue, I believe, will re-sign with their current clubs and aren't listened below
1. Tino Fa'asuamaleaui
The Titans, Maroons and Kangaroos superstar made it easier for us by stating bluntly: "Yeah, I'll be on the market".
He immediately became target number one for the Perth Bears, and I'm sure several other NRL clubs. The Storm just became huge players after Ryan Papenhuyzen's big money exit.
I believe it's time for Fa'asuamaleaui to move on. This yearly song and dance where a new loophole in the contract is found only to be closed at great expense, it's tiresome.
The Titans need to cut the cord, much like they did with David Fifita.
Linking Tino to literally any club in the NRL would be supremely easy. He is a giant of the game, makes any side you can put together and is a true leader.
I expect the largest deal in NRL history for a forward to be reached here. The second the clock hit 12:00 and one second into November 1, clubs would be firing off emails to talk in the morning.
