4. Moment 4: 2018 representative debut for NSW and Australia
After a breakout NRL season, Latrell Mitchell made his mark on representative footy in 2018. He scored in his very first State of Origin match for New South Wales, a performance so commanding that coach Brad Fittler selected him for the remaining two games of the series. Mitchell's impact helped the Blues secure their first series win since 2014, ending a four-year drought and proving he could perform on the biggest stage.
His rise continued with a call-up to the Kangaroos, earning a starting centre spot in Mal Meninga's squad for clashes against New Zealand and Tonga.
