Canberra will be without hooker Josh Hodgson for at least the next six weeks, after sustaining a thumb injury in his side's 22-16 loss to North Queensland on Saturday.
Hodgson underwent scans on the injury, and will now need surgery to repair his fractured thumb.
The Englishman will confirm the recovery period with a specialist on Monday, but is slated to be unavailable until round 18-20, which would see him ruled out across the entire Origin period.
