At Thursday morning's training session, nib Newcastle Knights forward Jamie Buhrer sustained a fracture in his foot.
Buhrer had immediate scans, which confirmed he will be sidelined for approximately eight weeks.
Buhrer, along with Jacob Gagan are expected to drop out of the squad when reduced to 19 later today, while Joe Wardle will move into the starting side.
