Former Cronulla star Valentine Holmes has been signed by the New York Jets, joining the franchise through the International Player Pathway program.

Holmes has been training alongside NFL players and draft hopefuls for the past three months, and has finally found himself on a training camp squad.

Four players have been allocated to sides through the Pathway program, with Buffalo, Miami and New England to all boast international players on their rosters.

Holmes will be on the Jets' roster until the end of training camp, and will remain with the practice squad for the 2019 season.

This means Holmes won't make an NRL return this season.

  1. Put in a practice team to 2019 contract agreement runs out so he don’t have to come back to sharks . Won’t make it past the 4 preseason nfl games he has to impress in . Will be cowboys starting fullback in 2020 . Writings on the wall already. .
