3. Recruitment Impact

The Eels' incredible 2020 meant they didn't need to go out and sign a host of stars. They focused more on re-signing their stars although they did add a few pieces.

Bryce Cartwright is capable of anything although with each passing season looks more and more likely to never live up to his potential. Tom Opacic looks like he'll slot in for Michael Jennings. Isaiah Papali'i is a clever signing. This looks an error from the Warriors.

Overall they will enter (Jennings aside) an almost identical preferred 17 this season. If Opacic or perhaps Oldfield can step into the vacant centre spot then there's no reason they shouldn't provide similar results this year as well.

  1. I think we will struggle with the pace of the game.
The powers that be have gone to far over the top to try to speed the game up. It’s not Union or AFL.
We have big powerful forwards, awesome halves and a stellar backline but will struggle and finish 6th.
Top 4 will be Bunnies, Roosters, Storm and Raiders with the surprise packet being the Titans in 5th.
The Panthers and Cowboys will round out the top 8.
The Broncos and Dragons will battle it out for the spoon.
The GF will be Bunnies v Raiders with the Bunnies taking it out.
