Knights co-captain Jamie Buhrer has re-signed with the club on a one-year deal, tying him at Newcastle until at least the end of the 2019 season.
The 28-year old crossed from the Manly Sea Eagles to the Knights in 2017 and was pleased to extend his stay in the red and blue.
"I always wanted to stay at the Knights," Buhrer told newcastleknights.com.au.
"Since I arrived at the club only a few year ago, I've immediately felt at home.
"My family and I absolutely love Newcastle and couldn't imagine leaving.
"I'm confident the Club is headed in the right direction and excited to be part of what I believe will be a very successful future."
Buhrer, a NSW representative for the 2012 State of Origin team, provides the Knights with great versatility, capable of playing a variety of positions, including backrow, lock, hooker and five-eighth.
