Another season, another Tino Fa'asuamaleaui contract clause activated.
I joke, but also not really...
The number of times we've seen Tino (and David Fifita) allowed to talk to other clubs over the years is laughable.
Well, here we go again!
It's looking less likely though that the Titans captain is using this as an opportunity to bump up his current deal with the Titans.
If you ask me, he's done. Probably not a bad thing considering the state of the Titans, but a massive potential loss.
Tino Fa'asuamaleaui is a player you could name 16 teams below. 17 with the Bears coming up. PNG would want him also.
Naming five genuine landing spots, considering his stature, value and career prospects though is still fairly straightforward.
Hewre are the five best landing spots for Tino Fa'asuamaleaui.
4. North Queensland Cowboys
Jason Taumalolo's mega money deal finally comes to an end at the end of the 2027 season.
Sure, there'd be a year where the Cowboys would be paying two middle forwards a million dollars a season, but it's a risk I'd look at taking.
Tino is a proud QLDer. He's been one of their best performers during his entire Origin career.
Townsville ... that's in QLD.
Again, I believe a split is best for both parties here. A shift (way) north could be the go.
The Cowboys need a shake up. They need a big name signing. They need a forward leader.
Tino is the exact player they need.
Whether or not they can convince him to make the shift is very much up for debate though.
The money could be there. You make it there for Tino!
Taumalolo's deal absolutely won't be extended so a year of "pain" and a straight swap following? Easy business.
