Brisbane Broncos head coach Michael Maguire has confirmed Payne Haas will be available to play on Saturday evening against the Gold Coast Titans.
Haas was withdrawn from last week's win over the Dolphins with a shoulder injury.
The club at the time wouldn't committ to a one-week recovery for Haas, but Maguire confirmed on Friday morning after the club's captain's run that he had made it through the last two training sessions unscathed and will be available to make the hour trip south to clash with the Titans.
"Yep, he will play, definitely," Maguire told the media.
"He is okay. The last two sessions he has been in all of the session so if you can do that, you're ready to go."
Maguire said Haas would make a difference to his side, with it being obvious what he brings.
"It's nice to have Payne in, but it's also nice to see the team do well with the depth of what we have from last week. But having someone like Payne come back in, we know what Payne brings, he is obviously a special man and a special player in the things he does for us," he said on the impact Haas will have."
Haas, who has averaged 162 metres per game across his three performances so far this year, will slot straight back in at prop with Xavier Willison sliding to the interchange bench.
Brisbane's other major change for the clash on the Gold Coast was to leave Josiah Karapani out after an off-field incident last weekend.
The Broncos, who will field a backline with Jesse Arthars for the first time since last year, as well as Gehamat Shibasaki who replaces the injured Grant Anderson, dropped Karapani after consultation with senior players.
Maguire said it was about maintaining standards and the culture expected of the Red Hill-based outfit, while also suggesting Karapani was no sure thing for an immediate recall.
"He has been going really well for us and he still will, but the players and all of us within the organisation have set out expectations which is about protecting and looking after our culture," Maguire said.
"Obviously, people do make a mistake, but how you treat them and what they do is a reflection of where we want to build and what we want to be as a club, and it's very important. Kara will go away, he has trained very hard and he is obviously very apologetic.
"Well, I've always judged the team on how they are performing, so to hang onto a Broncos jersey is very important. We have people like Jesse Arthars coming back in and he has been fantastic even at the back-end of last year, it was just all about the team.
"I'm looking forward to seeing how Jesse goes, so that will sort itself out down the track."
Karapani, who is yet to score this year, has averaged 153 metres per game across his four performances and broken nine tackles.
Shibasaki was dropped to the bench for Anderson's call up in recent weeks despite being good enough to make his State of Origin debut last year, while Jesse Arthars was dropped towards the back-end of 2025 despite having 11 tries to his name.
Brisbane will kick-off on the Gold Coast at 5:30pm (AEST) on Saturday, with teams to be reduced to 20 players 24 hours before kick-off.
