Top 10 players that missed Australian Selection

The 24-man Australian squad has been named for the 2017 Rugby League World Ciup and as usual, there are a number of big omissions from the group. These are 10 of the best players that coach Mal Meninga could have added to his squad. Mitchell recorded 15 tries, seven-try assists and 18 line breaks in a fine season and his try against the Broncos demonstrated his power and skill. Crichton already plays with the ability of players much more experienced than him and he would surely represent Australia at a high level. Addo-Carr scored in each of the finals games he played in this season and has proven he can perform in big games. (Photo by Paul Kane/Getty Images)[/caption] Daly Cherry-Evans has had an excellent season for the Sea Eagles, recording 19 try assists and 18 line break assists as he ensured Manly returned to the finals. Cherry-Evans has represented Australia 11 times and his form would justify his return to the squad. Josh Mansour Josh Mansour has already represented Australia on five occasions and the powerful winger will be disappointed not to have been recalled to the side. Mansour has always performed well at representative level and would no doubt do so again if he were to return to the team. Jackson previously played for Australia in 2014 but based on his State of Origin series this year, which included a man of the match performance in Game II, would have no trouble returning to the Kangaroos squad. Finucane has over 860 tackles and 2700 run metres in a strong season and would be a solid player for the Kangaroos. The Panthers prop is one of the hardest running forwards in the game and would easily fit into the Australian side. In his first season with the Dragons Vaughan ran for over 3400 metres, recorded nearly 690 tackles and even scored eight tries. Vaughan would be an excellent addition to any side and the Kangaroos are not an exception. During State of Origin, Tedesco showed excellent skill and performed well against a champion Maroons side, his performance in Game I proving he deserves to be playing at a high level.
