A number of clubs have made big signings for the 2018 NRL season.

With a large number of big name players off contract at the end of 2017, big money has been spent. These player movements could be extremely important in future seasons and will shake up the competition.

North Queensland Cowboys to Newcastle Knights

The Knights have done an excellent job in attracting a talented young footballer in Kalyn Ponga.

At just 19-years-old, Ponga has already demonstrated his ability in first grade football and will continue to improve in the coming years.

This is a huge signing for the Knights and will go a long way to turning their fortunes around.
