We've reached the halfway point of the 2025 NRL season, and the competition is still tighter than ever. Just six points separate 5th place from last, meaning the Top 8 could look very different come finals time.

With all 17 clubs still in the hunt for a playoff berth, one thing is clear: no side in this competition is invincible.

What is the chink in your club's armor? We analyse every club's kryptonite as we inch closer to finals footy.

Somehow, both the easiest and hardest team to get a read on in the NRL this year, the Gold Coast Titans' issues go far deeper than just one issue; the club simply cannot play winning rugby league.

While this may seem like a harsh judgment on a club full of incredible people, the Titans have done themselves no favours in 2025.

Home to a top-three forward in the NRL in Tino Fa'asuamalaeaui, David Fifita, who was the best backrower in the league before arriving at the club, a Maroons player in AJ Brimson, and two future superstars in Keano Kini and Jayden Campbell, all coached by a premiership-winning coach in Des Hasler... yet still cannot crack the Top 8?

Not only will the Titans miss out on a premiership this year, but they will also most likely receive the wooden spoon.

A truly heartbreaking fact for lovers of the Gold Coast-based side, but unfortunately, the club has run out of excuses in 2025.
