Former Penrith legend Mark Geyer is threatening to take legal action after rumours surrounding his family were linked to the recently leaked sex tapes.
Geyer has engaged lawyers after rumours were circulated on a rugby league Facebook page linking his daughter to some of the tapes.
The former league star then commented on the post itself demanding to know who was behind the account.
He has since released a statement through his radio station at Triple M.
"I have today engaged Brydens Lawyers to act on behalf of my daughter, Montanna, for the purpose of taking action against those who have published false and defamatory material which has caused incredible distress for my family," he told Triple M.
"On the advice of the solicitors, I do not propose to make any further comment."
