The Gold Coast Titans said goodbye to six players this past week.
Included were former million-dollar man Ashley Taylor, as well as staple of the club Mitch Rein.
Most surprising of all though was their releasing former Origin utility Tyrone Peachey.
The very same Tyrone Peachey who played five-eighth in their first finals appearance since 2016.
Truthfully, I don't totally understand the decision but the Titans loss is going to be another team's gain given the undoubted talent Peachey holds.
We look at five of the most likely destinations for a player who can start at centre, in the halves or in the pack:
1. Wests Tigers
Every player who comes off contract will be linked with the Tigers. Fans become annoyed but the roster needs a complete overhaul and Peachey fits the bill.
Luciano Leilua is the only second row option guaranteed his spot. Twal is a prop for mine so that also opens up the lock position.
Tell me Tyrone Peachey, at his best, wouldn't walk into the Tigers' 17 somewhere? Go on...
RELATED: Revisiting the Tigers last finals appearance on the tenth anniversary
The Tigers are in the midst of a laughable self-review that we all expect to achieve nothing.
What they should be doing is sitting down with available players who can improve their side. Especially those looking for opportunities and are likely to come on the cheap.
There, review done. Send me my cheque.
Tigers, sign Tyrone Peachey tomorrow. Give him a roaming role in the middle and enjoy an immediate improvement in your football.
Prediction
The Broncos seemed to have emerged as early contenders but for mine the Cowboys and Tigers are the teams who should be in the midst. If the Tigers don't sign him then their fans should ask some serious questions. Tigers for mine.
