The NRL era is approaching three decades old, having kicked off in 1998 after the bitter Super League war drew to a close.
In that time, every club bar the two expansion franchises have won a premiership or featured in a grand final, and while some have had more success than others, every club will note some excellent signings over the journey.
Pulling back the curtain on those signings, here are the players we mark as the best for each club.
Canterbury Bulldogs - James Graham
The Bulldogs have had some excellent signings over their journey, with the three in contention for this gong playing through either their early 2000s run of success, or the early 2010s run of success.
Andrew Ryan, who debuted for the Parramatta Eels and joined the Bulldogs in 2003, and Luke Patten, who joined the Bulldogs in 2001 from the Dragons, were the other players in consideration, but in the end, it was an impossibility go past English enforcer James Graham.
He only played 135 games for the Bulldogs between 2012 and 2017, but was part of everything good that happened at Belmore during that time and quickly became one of the NRL's best forwards.
Alongside South Sydney star Sam Burgess, Graham helped in legitimising the idea of English forwards being able to stand up and stick with the Australian game.

Stephen Crichton should be considered for Doggies.
Michael Ennis or James Maloney ?
JM didn’t do much in 2017, but he was brilliant in 2016 and I believe that he – more than anyone else – got Cronulla their Grand Final success, that year.
Hard call to make: has to be one of those two, but which ?
Jahrome Hughes best for the Storm ?
No sir. For me it has to be Cam Smith
