The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have denied reports suggesting representative forward David Klemmer has requested a release from the final three years of his contract.

Reports yesterday by Fairfax Media stated that Klemmer had requested a release from his current deal with the Bulldogs.

The release request reportedly comes on the back of Klemmer feeling that the club has failed to deliver on a number of financial commitments agreed upon.

Itโ€™s also understood that Klemmerโ€™s starting role with the Bulldogs could be a reason for the request, with the club needing to accommodate new signing Aaron Woods into the run-on side.

But according to the Daily Telegraph, the club has already refuted the report withย Bulldogs chief executive Raelene Castle denying thatย Klemmer had requested a release.

If Klemmer does indeed request a release, there will be no shortage of clubs keen to sign him the Newcastle Knights, Melbourne Storm and Manly Sea Eagles all looking to boost their forward stocks for next season.
