Warriors and Kiwis superstar Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is considering a shock switch to rugby union and the chance to chase an All Blacks jersey.

Tuivasa-Sheck is off contract at the end of 2018. If he were to make the switch to rugby union, that would give him a full season to press his claims for a different type of world cup.

"It's entered discussions, I'm not going to deny that," said Tuivasa-Sheck's manager Bruce Sharrock told Fairfax Media.

"We've talked about it and we've certainly talked about it before.

"That's his background, the All Blacks are a world-recognised team with an amazing success rate. If you thought you were good enough to be a part of it, it's not a bad ship to be a part of."

The Warriors will no doubt be desperate to keep Tuivasa-Sheck at the club but they might find that task quite difficult.

"He's at a stage in his career where if he is going to [switch codes], it's probably going to be sooner rather than later," Sharrock continued.

"Not many people can shift later in their career, it makes it very tough."

The success of rugby league converts to the 15 man game indicates that if Tuivasa-Sheck did change codes, he'd have a great chance of making the All Blacks team.

Recent rugby league converts such as Marika Koroibete, Matt Duffie, Eto Nabuli and Curtis Rona have all gone on to represent their country.
