The claims against Jarryd Hayne have continued with details emerging alleging that he left the woman he allegedly assaulted with bite wounds severe enough to require surgery.

Hayne has been accused of going to a home in the Hunter Region on grand final night this year before allegedly, according to Seven News, ripping the clothes off the resistant woman before she was “savagely bitten”.

It has been claimed that there are images of the woman’s injuries.

This isn’t the first time that Hayne has been accused of biting.

He was disciplined by the Parramatta Eels for a biting incident in a nightclub in 2006, where he bit a young woman on the arm, resulting in a $1,000 fine.

Hayne was arrested on Monday afternoon with charges being laid the following morning.

Hayne’s charge of aggravated sexual assault carries a maximum 20-year jail term.

He was granted strict bail ahead of a court appearance on December 10.
